Changing perspectives through art. Sarzyna Chemical PET flakes at art exhibition

Can plastic be a medium for artistic creation? Can a material that first brings industry to one’s mind tell a story of nature, environment and the future of our planet?

Answers to these questions came with the exhibition “Down Deep: Living Seas, Living Bodies” featured at the State Gallery of Art in Sopot from 30 October 2025 to 4 April 2026.

Technology embedded in artistic narratives

Sarzyna Chemical’s collaboration in the project went beyond mere sponsorship. The company truly had a say in the material choice of artistic works to be presented on PET flakes, a product from our portfolio.

The material, commonly used in industrial applications, became a carrier of artistic message to co-create the visual aspect of selected pieces.

From industrial material to a medium of thought

In the context of the exhibition, the use of PET flakes becomes especially meaningful. The relationship between humans and the ocean, being the main theme of the exhibition, is shown through the lens of the impact that human activity has on the marine environment, with plastics pervading ecosystems, which makes a change in our approach to resources and production an imperative. From this perspective, the material is no longer just an input to production but an inherent part of the story of transition and responsibility.

The company’s involvement in this project demonstrates our active commitment to the dialogue on the future of the environment. To us, collaboration with the world of art is not only about supporting cultural events but also about inspiring a broader discussion on the use of materials and building environmental awareness.

For Sarzyna Chemical, the participation in the project “Down Deep: Living Seas, Living Bodies” is yet another step towards initiatives in which business, science and culture merge.

It is also proof that the products in our portfolio can serve not only a utilitarian purpose but also an educational and social one, becoming part of a true debate on the future of our planet.
